I recently sampled Shiloh for my song but as you guys know they've disappeared ever since X... and I don't know how I should give credits or giving credits just for like small sampling is actually required. I figured that some random companies also scam a lot of artists by claiming that they have legal control over shiloh's tracks. Please feel free to type out your suggestions on what I should do

 

You need to include the context of the situation. What do you intend to do with your song? How much did you change the original sample? Will anyone know? Sometimes you can go out of your way to be honest about stuff, and find out you just wasted your efforts because it wouldn't matter anyway.

oh and how important is it to your song that it is kept included? You can always replace stuff if you need to.

 

Shiloh? Like the progressive breaks duo? If so, you can find them on instagram or facebook and simply ask. Otherwise, take spirit knowing that they themselves probably sampled plenty and that this is part and parcel in electronic music. How big of a sample are we talking, here?
